Bible-Centered Christian Counseling

What Biblical Counseling Is

Biblical Counseling is a Christ-centered approach to healing, guidance, and personal growth rooted in the truth of God’s Word. Rather than focusing only on emotions or behavior, Biblical counseling addresses the heart, mind, and spiritual life of a person through Scripture, prayer, and the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Biblical counseling helps individuals find:

  • Hope in difficult seasons
  • Healing from hurt, fear, anxiety, grief, and broken relationships
  • Renewed thinking through God’s truth
  • Freedom from destructive patterns and spiritual struggles
  • A deeper understanding of identity and purpose in Christ

The goal of Biblical counseling is not merely temporary relief, but lasting transformation through a growing relationship with God.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the  thoughts and intents of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12

A Scriptural Foundation For Biblical Counseling

God’s Word is the Foundation – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. — II Timothy 3:16-17

Gentle Invitation from Christ – Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. — Matthew 11:28

Renewal & Transformation And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. — Romans 12:2

Healing & Restoration – He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. — Psalm 147:3

Hope, Comfort, and Purpose – Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.    — Corinthians 1:3-4

Peace – And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:7

Guidance & Wisdom – Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. — Proverbs 3:5–6

How Sessions Work

You can meet with me in person in a private counseling room in Beaumont, Texas, by phone anywhere in the country, or by Zoom from your own home.
A counseling session is typically about 60 minutes. Some women find that one session provides the guidance and encouragement they need, while others choose to meet weekly or every other week for a season of support and growth. There is no contract or required commitment — sessions are scheduled as needed.
The standard session fee is $75, however, If finances are a concern, please mention that on the intake form. Our desire is for every woman seeking help and encouragement to have access to Biblical Counseling, and reduced-fee arrangements are available when needed.

What Biblical Counseling Is Not

Biblical counseling is not licensed mental health treatment, medical care, or psychotherapy. If you are managing a serious mental health condition, addiction, or trauma that requires clinical intervention, Biblical Counseling can be a meaningful part of your care — but it should not replace appropriate licensed support. We will talk openly about this on our first call, and determine what kind of support best fits your situation.
